High Corporate Performance on the PwC Trust Index Linked to CEO Gender Diversity Targets

PwC has examined the power of trust. They have learned that that highly trusted corporations are more apt to have made net-zero pledges and to have attached the compensation of their CEO to nonfinancial results, such as workforce engagement scores and gender diversity. They point out that while ‘correlation is not causation’ that the most highly trusted companies are 1.4 times more likely to have gender diversity targets in their chief executive compensation plans.

This is music to my ears. Gender diversity at all levels of the medical device industry is critically important to bring the high value of balanced insights that are needed to make the long-term decisions to build better medical devices and identify new strategic directions for our industry.
